I had a consultation with Ms. Lavinsky today and cried for 45 minutes after. She was nothing but dismissive and antagonizing. I contacted her for representation at a DVRO hearing. I disclosed psychological and sexual abuse: stealthing (a crime), and multiple incidents of revoked consent and intimidation. She said "You claim that you were abused but you went back to him. You can't just retroactively call it abuse". I told her I had text proof, and asked her, "Would you say that to someone that got punched in the face and stayed?" Ms. Lavinsky seems to lack basic education about coercive control. Here is a simple fact to start: It takes women 7 attempts (on average) to leave an abusive relationship. Going back to someone does not mean abuse did not occur. She refused to listen to my other claims. She told me "I don't think this is domestic violence. You have to get a restraining order because you're in actual danger, not for revenge." I hung up after this comment. In case the office tries to claim this is a fake review (like the other people who had similarly bad experiences..) I have attached our 15 min call log with their phone number.

This person never contacted our office nor had a consultation with our office. We believe this to be a fake post.

Unsatisfied with their result and poor outcomes.

Lacks compassion. What a waste of time. Plenty of other lawyers around.
