DO NOT HIRE THIS FIRM!!! I might as well have stood over my toilet, ripped up $6,000 in paper currency and flushed it down the toilet for all I got from Frank LaPorte. I wrote one unflattering review last fall because of his repeated failures to follow up, lack of urgency, and his refusal to follow my requests for filing a civil suit, after which he apologized profusely and said he would continue to represent me pro bono in order to regain my trust. During that time, half of his emails to me were about how I edit or remove my previously written unflattering review. I foolishly gave him another chance.

After one month of pro bono, I was slapped with a $1,600 bill that included a $25 charge for relaying the time of a call his office set up. His office scheduled a call with me and neglected to tell me what time the call was. I emailed his office asking the time and their reply was "The call is at 3." And charged me $5 a word for what they should have relayed to me to begin with. Most egregiously, his firm charged me hundreds of dollars because he did not believe me when the opposing party accused me of theft, even after I provided him with bank deposit statements proving date, time and amounts of deposits made and insisted I sign paperwork releasing my financial information from said bank, despite my not wanting to do so.

It was a HUGE mistake to trust him a second time. He only repeated the lack of sense of urgency and refusal to do what I asked of him, then took credit for accomplishments that I made on my own in my own case

You should not have to beg your lawyer to return your calls or emails for weeks at a time.

He wasted my time and money. Don't let him do the same to you.
