We hired this attorney in March 2025 and ultimately terminated the relationship due to ongoing communication issues, lack of responsiveness to meeting requests, mistakes, and poor case management. We paid a $3,500 retainer for a construction collections matter. In that time, he had two calls with us, reviewed about ten documents, drafted a demand letter, exchanged a few emails, had a quick call with opposing counsel, and drafted a complaint. The complaint was never filed because we couldn’t get him to schedule a call to review missing and inaccurate information. We ended the relationship at that point. After termination, it took two weeks of repeated follow‑ups to obtain the remaining information and documents needed to transition the matter to a new attorney. Only after we ended the relationship did we receive a “final invoice,” which conveniently consumed the entire retainer. Up to that point, no monthly invoices were ever provided. The invoice had no itemized time entries or documentation of actual time spent, despite the retainer agreement requiring monthly billing in 1/10‑hour increments. When asked to revise it to match the contract, his response was essentially that this was their “standard” invoice and no 1/10‑hour entries had been recorded. We ended the relationship because of his lack of responsiveness, the errors we had to point out to him, and the overall lack of service and professionalism we expected from an attorney at this rate.

Receptionist constantly cut me off when speaking did not listen to my concerns and just said that’s something the attorney will not be able to help me with.
