Kubanis Albert J

Three years ago I asked Mr. Kubanis if he would represent me in a DUI case. We kept asking the court to reduce it to a wet and reckless for which they would not. He said fine we are going to trial. Before me there was only a couple of defendants that were found to be not guilty in all the fifty states. I was extremely defiant with him because we were butting heads and I thought he was to friendly to the courts. Little did I know this man is a fantastic lawyer. At that point I told him that he is the captain of this ship and I the boatsman under his command. The most important thing he said "do not lie". He kept asking me all these questions over and over again in order to get the whole story . I was at the lowest point in my life. At trial he saved his opening statement for a later time and when that time came, boy did it have an impact. He asked questions to the expert witness from the state, questions that had never been asked. He is highly respected by every one I watched him interact with. I would trust my life to this gentleman. At trial he kept asking the courts to use the defense of necessity only to be denied time and time again. The necessity defense has rarely been used because the threshold is a lot. I believe there are 6 things that have to be found true. At the end of the trial the judge granted his request for his defense. The jury deliberated for two days and I was found to be not guilty on both counts. My name is Thomas P.
