A few years ago we hired a contractor to build us a house. The building plans failed to pass inspection with the building department of the city where the lot was. It was a stupid mistake that could have been easily avoided if he had taken the time to familiarize himself with local ordinances. He insisted that we would have to pay for new architectural drawings, we refused because he was at fault, and terminated our contract with him. The contract had a binding arbitration clause that we reluctantly had to follow, concerned that we would not get fair treatment because the arbitration board was to be made up of members of the builders association he was affiliated with. We hired Nicholas Watt, from Kramer, Elkins & Watt, LLC, to help us navigate this. He did an outstanding job, dancing circles around the contractor's attorney during the arbitration hearing. Not only did we win the case, we got almost all of the money back that we had paid as a down payment to begin construction costs. We highly recommend Nick and also his office manager Dain Richard, who kept everything running smoothly behind the scenes. We sure hope we never need someone like Nick again, but if we ever did, we would not hesitate to employ his services again. He is knowledgeable about contract laws, easy to work with, mindful of costs, well prepared and argued our case exceptionally well.

Update 2023: Amazing to work with for our business. Very responsive and professional. Leslie has been great on our calls with prospects when we have to review our master service agreements with prospects that have some questions. Responsiveness has been key to help us close deals fast. Leslie is very detail oriented which makes her perfect for reviewing and modifying our contracts as our business has evolved. She has taken the effort to learn about our business along the way.
