I don’t normally leave negative reviews, especially because as a small business owner myself, I know how misleading or damaging they can sometimes be. Unfortunately, this experience warranted one. To be fair, my experience with Kelsey prior to the billing issue was not bad. She was professional and knowledgeable, and I understood from the beginning that the firm billed in 0.2-hour increments. What ultimately pushed me to terminate representation was being billed $95 for my attorney emailing opposing counsel to ask for a status update, followed by another $95 charge for emailing me to say they had not received a response. Essentially being billed for unprompted updates, $190. The firm later explained that these charges also included reviewing the file, tracking deadlines, and managing follow-up. My issue was never whether the fee agreement technically allowed these charges. My issue was the value provided to the client. Paying $190 essentially surrounding an unanswered status inquiry is a bit ridiculous. I don't believe every internal administrative action or routine courtesy associated with managing a client relationship needs to become a billable event simply because the agreement permits it. In summary: If you are comfortable being billed for virtually every touchpoint on your file, including unprompted status updates telling you there is no update, this may not bother you. It bothered me enough to terminate representation as I truly despise businesses that milk customers for the sake of agreements, and charging for little value. I want to reiterate that my dissatisfaction was primarily with the billing philosophy, and horrible customer service. Not the attorney's professionalism or competency.

This was truly a first-class experience from start to finish. I am incredibly grateful to Kelsey, Abbey, Alexis, and the entire team at Kraayeveld Law. I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend Kelsey to anyone looking for a top-notch attorney. She is someone you want in your corner.

Divorces suck but what a great bunch of people I got to work with. A family to me/expensive family lol but love them all they would do anything for me. I would recommend these guys to anyone for any assistance in your family needs. They were able to speak the truth and not back down under any circumstance, love you guys I hope to never see you again, but if I had to, I would go right back to you.
