I cannot recommend this firm, particularly for individuals navigating dissolution, domestic violence (DV), or military related family law matters. My experience was defined by administrative confusion, inconsistent legal counsel, and highly questionable billing practices.
Lack of Internal Communication & Preparation: After explicitly requesting a DV-informed attorney, I was paired with an attorney ("Mario") for my dissolution case. Despite meeting with him multiple times in person and spending hours discussing my case on the phone, he later claimed during a critical discussion that he did not know why he was my assigned attorney and had to check the retainer agreement. He then insisted on initiating a Domestic Violence Restraining Order (DVRO)--completely unaware that I had already successfully filed and secured a DVRO on my own six months prior.
Contradictory and Conflicting Counsel: My case was subsequently reassigned to another attorney ("Tia"). After a consultation regarding my situation, both her and Amanda Hills primary strategy was to advise me to relocate out of state to establish jurisdiction elsewhere. However, during a subsequent court appearance in San Diego, this same counsel falsely stated to the court that she had not heard from me, despite my extensive, saved records of our text communications and receipts.
Unsubstantiated and Excessive Billing: The most egregious aspect of this firm's service is its billing. My initial retainer was completely exhausted, and I received an additional invoice for nearly $9,000.00, despite no meaningful legal progress being made on my case. When I requested an itemized, broken-down invoice to account for these charges, the firm was completely unable or unwilling to provide one.
The sole positive element of my interaction with this office was the front desk secretary, Sophia, who was consistently kind and courteous.
If you are dealing with complex, high-stakes family law issues, I strongly advise looking elsewhere for a firm that offers transparent billing, thorough case preparation, and reliable representation.

Every time I didn't have to do phone conference, I could always go. And sit down with her which I believe is a better way for better communications and a better understanding.
