High-volume personal-injury mill. Marketing says “personal touch.” My experience: slow communication and files that move only when someone is forced to move them. This is my opinion of the service I received. The Virginia State Bar record is public. On Dec. 9, 2024 the VSB Disciplinary Board gave David Benjamin Kendall a Public Reprimand with Terms (Docket 23-070-129181) for violating Rule 1.4 (communication) and Rule 1.15 (safekeeping property). The Board’s stipulated facts include: a Medicaid lien left unpaid for a long time (check issued much later than he first claimed); a client waited weeks for a replacement settlement check until after the bar complaint; a workers’-comp carrier underpaid and reimbursed only after the complaint; returned client checks sitting in a “miscellaneous” folder (one about two years); MedPay checks left in a manila envelope until they expired, clients not told; inadequate trust ledgers/reconciliations; personal “cushion” fees kept in trust. He said he had 135–160 cases across Virginia and the complaint “accelerated” work that “needed to be done.” That official pattern matches how this office felt to me. I would not trust them with settlement funds or medical liens without watching every dollar. Read the VSB order yourself.
