Kathleen represented me during the upheaval of divorce. During our first phone consultation, she asked some needed questions about income and custody of children. She very quickly was able to determine what I should expect to pay in terms of child support and maintenance. It was about $1,000 less per month than what a separate attorney had told me (a friend who practices general law). I was concerned about the discrepancy, unsure of who to trust. But I had a good feeling about Kathleen in our consultation. She came across as honest, and no-nonsense. She seemed to me to be someone who doesn't waste time with empty words. And she had a good rating from peer reviews in the Martindale-Hubbell attorney directory. So I went with Kathleen. I am glad I did. It turns out she knew exactly what she was talking about in terms of what I should be expecting to pay, regardless of what my ex-wife was trying to secure from me. Kathleen is also a very easy person to talk to, very thoughtful and articulate and also very diplomatic. She knows how to effectively communicate with a judge and the opposing counsel in a way that shows kindness and respect and at the very same time, unapologetically lays out the legitimacy of her clients case. She came through for me, and didn't round up 15 minute tasks so as to charge me for a full hour. a few words to describe Kathleen from my experience. Honest, straightforward, efficient, thoughtful, and also compassionate towards people, especially children, who are being impacted by divorce. As I struggled with still hoping for reconciliation with my ex-wife even during the divorce process... Kathleen was genuinely supportive of this as a good thing, even as she worked to ensure a fair financial outcome for me as her client.

Absolutely do not talk to this horrible woman. She has a disgusting tone no matter how polite you are, continously runs you in circles not answering a single question, instead asking 10+ times "do you have any questions for me?" As you list your questions, she does not answer then asks again and again. Heartless, cold, vile attitude. I felt physically ill trying to communicate with her. Verbally assaults your ears. Do not bother calling. Has all the signs of a sociopath with no empathy. Also being indicted with the other cash for kids GAL buddies.

Kathleen listened to my situation for less than 5 minutes before turning me down. It was disheartening. She didn’t even check for a conflict of interest like other offices do, she just said “I’m a contractor (GAL) and I can’t help you. Best of luck”. If you are in St. Louis County with a family matter, don’t waste your time. She cares more about her “contract” than she does helping the public. I hope things change with her morals.
