This was my experience.
I bought a car from my friend and owned it for 18 years. I paid all related costs of ownership during those years. After his death, his sister found a lawyer willing to abuse me with the law; claiming she should get to have the car. I was billed thousands of dollars by Charles to get through discovery and a motion to dismiss. This would not stop the abuse. However, it made for good theater and kept billable hours rolling in!

The evidence she presented proved I owned the car. (I was the sole owner of record with the MN DMV for 18 years.) It also proved that my friend had not paid me money owed by the due date written on an agreement which expired nine years before the lawsuit. The truth was in the documents, yet it was ignored. Reality of the last 18 years of my life was altered by an opportunistic liar. I proved she had committed perjury. PERJURY DENIES THE RIGHT TO DUE PROCESS!!! The motion to dismiss did not include this. Nor did it include the key fact that I had owned the car YEARS PRIOR to the origin of the presented Will.

The team I trusted to apply the law to protect me failed to stop the abuse. I hired this family team to help me. The law is supposed to keep us safe and protect our rights. My rights were not asserted. Her lies were not dismantled. In the law, silence is agreement. Not only am I out the thousands of dollars Charles billed me, the woman I HAD NO BUSINESS DEALINGS WITH now owns my car because I could not afford to rack up an addtional 16k or more in lawyer fees to keep it.
This is my opinion based on what happened to me.

Unresponsive.

My estate situation was a little complicated. A father that received MA at the Care Center before passing away, a mother that passed away less than 2 months later. A disabled brother that still lived in the family home who was diagnosed with luekemia, also received MA, and passed away a couple of years later...... Even with all of this, things were ultimately resolved as simply and smoothly as possible.
