Sadly, in spite of the fame and glory and publications in the local magazines, I have had the most underwhelming experience with Mr. Kantaras‘s team. What I found exceptional in disturbing is that Dean and bullied me into signing on with them within 24 hours promising me immediate results within months of being engaging his firm ripping me off all the cash in my bank account which is $13,000 upfront this happened in early October 2025. Nowhere in our conversation on handshake did he explain to me that he’s charging $750 an hour that he is charging for every single email you send them and God forbid you stop by to drop off some paperwork which I have been doing most of the research and work for them every time you breathe his way they charge your fortune. Months later, my hopefully soon to be ex-husband is still not in jail, I am still not divorced, and I am completely broke and with an outstanding invoice of almost $40,000 from Mr. Kantaras. His team has come to meetings time I’m prepared and most of the time he has not acted in my best interest for that reason I would never recommend them. I intended to even file a complaint with the floor bar. But good luck if you have some money to throw away in the wind go for it.

They deleted my original review and I’ve seen several other 1 star reviews get deleted. this place is completely unprofessional. All they do is delay your case then blow through your retainer. The new firm I hired did more in a week than this firm did in 4 months. After posting my initial review, Dean Kantaras called me and asked what he could do to have me delete it. I told him to fully refund my $5700 retainer because he accomplished nothing, all he did was serve my ex custody papers and they took so long I ended up getting served first, even though I hired his firm months prior to that. he said he’d check with accounting to refund me, then radio silence. no apology, no refund. received a response faster to a one star review than I did to ANY requested updates or responses to my case. This is blatant malpractice. I’ve given them several opportunities to rectify this situation and they haven’t, they’ve lost their chance so I will be reporting them to the bar association. There are many reputable family law attorneys in Tampa, do yourself and your bank account a favor and go anywhere else. None of these attorneys should have the privilege of holding a law license. Stole thousands from me with nothing to show for it.
