Judicate West

I was extraordinarily impressed by Judicate West, in particular Peter Searle. Peter is a great communicator, and was able to find a solution that both parties may have been somewhat disappointed with, but that's the nature of mediation (no one gets entirely what they want). It was a fair proposal. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because of what has taken place, since the mediation ended. The terms, that were signed and agreed to, really aren't enforceable - which means, to some extent, that it's just placating lip service. In my case, it was promised to me that I would be paid, in full, within 30 days. 3 months later, and I still haven't seen a dime come directly to me. When I contacted Judicate West, to ask about the terms, and why I haven't yet been paid, they brushed me off by just telling me to contact my attorney. In other words, when the terms of your deal are not met, there is no one at Judicate West who will assume any accountability. With all of the above in mind, I have a feeling that this firm is better than most. Unfortunately, they are in an industry that isn't exactly known for keeping promises.

If you have a case with these offices, don't expect anything good. They're on the side of the insurance companies. I didn't like the mediation; they pressured me to accept their offer or I'd lose everything! I don't recommend them.
