I hired this firm for a bankruptcy filing about 10 years ago. One of the debts included in that case was not properly resolved, and the creditor was later able to place a lien on a home I purchased after my discharge. Because an attorney was listed on the debt, the collection agency would not speak with me directly, so I had to go through this office to get any answers. I reached out asking about lien avoidance, since that's what I'd been told I needed to look into. Communication was almost nonexistent — the paralegal never once reached out to me on her own; I had to repeatedly call her myself just to get any update. It took about a month of me calling before she gave me an answer, and when she finally did, she simply said "there is no lien," with no indication that she had pulled any records or done any actual research before telling me that. She also claimed I had been "harassing" the collection agency with repeated calls, which was not true — I had only called them twice, and the second call was at her own instruction. She stated that no one in the office was familiar with lien avoidance as a potential resolution (how is that even possible). Given how long it took and how little was offered, I have serious doubts she ever raised my question with the attorney at all. She also told me I had the option to pay $2,500 to reopen the case 😒. [ So to recap, after a MONTH I was told: that there just wasn’t a lien (I guess I made it up), no one knows anything about what I was talking about, and I have the option to pay to reopen my case. ] My concerns were not taken seriously or investigated before being dismissed. I would not recommend this office if their services were free based on my experience.
