JoAnn was my 2nd attorney after a horrible experience with a different one who made a lot of promises and just took my money. JoAnn however, was an incredible attorney . She helped guide me through a very difficult divorce with an abusive partner. She never failed to communicate with me and give me a good understanding of what was going on.

Personally, Jo Ann was opposing counsel in my pro se case in juvenile court which was just deemed the wrong jurisdiction. It didn't bother her to make up lies and ruin my life to take my kids away forever. Professionally she is a good attorney. She knows her stuff. No doubt the students she teach will gain a lot of knowledge from her. She can cross examine like no other attorneys. She's a bulldog. If you want a fighter who doesn't give up and have the money, then hire her. If you're on the opposing side reading about her, get ready for a fight.

Everyone else has given this firm five stars. So apparently they do things right sometimes, or used to, or something. But I have had completely consistent nonaction, noncommunication, and lack of apology for five months now. I call and call and even go by the office asking for a phone call and answers, and it generally takes several weeks for me to get anything. I had to drop them because they didn't get my job finished in time: checks made out to my mom's estate have all expired by now. In my one conversation in the last five months, Blair offered to give me a refund of the retainer, but it's been several more weeks now, and I don't have a refund, and I'm getting notices for a court date that I asked her to cancel. Again in the last few days I've called and emailed asking for a return call, but I haven't heard back from them at all. Is it me? I'm even more baffled now that I see the five-star reviews others have left here.
