I hired an attorney for my fourth degree assault in connection to domestic violence case. He screwed me and forced me to take a deal. I denied and due to my dissatisfaction with him, I fired him.

Now I started my search again. Almost all attorneys in the jackson county were suggesting me to take the deal and I was disappointed. Then I contacted a law firm in Rose burg, they judged me on finances and assumed I can’t pay them 8K.

Finally, I found Jen. I was curious why she is charging $100 for consultancy while all other attorneys give you consultancy free of cost. I took my chance. I told her that I want to fight the case. She said, “good, you’re at right place. I’m a trial attorney”. Well, she took the case and run it very well. She told me the merits and demerits. She was very thoughtful on almost all aspects of the case. She told me that before jewry selection she will make an argument to the judge. If that works your case will be dismissed although chances are very low. She delivered the argument so well and so effective that judge dismissed my case. The possibility of winning this way was very thin. I’m glad I didn’t avoid her only because of $100 consultancy fee. She was worth hiring for my case and she proved it.

Avoid going to bad pattern attorneys who take your case charge you 2K - 5K and then bring you a deal and don’t want to work for you or to fight for you. They just want to cash the money quick through the deal and don’t want to work on the case to fight.
