I am a student at Princeton University. I approached Raul after receiving surprise notice of a Title IX investigation that left me completely shocked, confused and terrified. And I am so glad I did. He is an extremely capable attorney who genuinely cares for his clients, and works tirelessly on their behalf. The other firms I consulted either gave off aggressive ‘frat house’ vibes or lacked specific Title IX experience. Raul, however, drew on his vast knowledge of student misconduct law to respond in a manner that was best for me. As Princeton conducted its investigation, Raul proved to be an indispensable adviser with an astonishing work-ethic. He made sure that from Day 1 we developed a detailed and coherent response that remained consistent and evidence-based. This is a lot of work to do when you’re a nervous wreck, but Raul generously worked day and night to ensure we successfully hit every deadline — I’m not sure what I would have done without his hard work and motivation. Raul is also keenly aware of how bias creeps into university investigations, and fought vigorously to defend my own Title IX rights and to hold Princeton up to its own standards. I can say that he is above all motivated by true compassion for his clients, and that comes out in everything from his tireless efforts to his always caring, empathetic demeanor. The Title IX process is an emotional tidal wave, but I now know I will emerge with my dignity intact and my head held high. I do not wish my circumstances on anyone else, but if not, better call Raul.
