We had never been in a situation like this before. Navigating the judicial system, trying to understand the process, knowing what questions to ask, and simply figuring out what came next was downright overwhelming. From the beginning, we were incredibly blessed to have Jessica representing our son. As a mother, I had a lot of questions-and I mean a LOT of questions. Jessica was always patient with me. She took the time to explain things in a way I could understand, never made me feel like I was bothering her, and most importantly, when she said she was going to do something, she followed through. Jessica carries herself with an incredible level of integrity, professionalism, and grace. She never sugarcoated our situation or gave us unrealistic expectations. She was honest, straightforward, and realistic, but she delivered that honesty with compassion. There is something very special about someone who can remain completely professional while still recognizing the very real emotions of the people and families involved. Throughout our son's case, Jessica showed us that she wasn't simply doing a job. She genuinely cared. She advocated for our son while also taking the time to recognize what our entire family was going through. She listened. She answered questions. She kept her word. She showed compassion during some incredibly difficult moments, and she went the extra mile when she certainly didn't have to. That is what sets Jessica apart. When you are dealing with the judicial system, you want someone who knows the law and knows how to do their job well - but you also hope to find someone who remembers there are real people and real families behind every case. Jessica gave us both. She is knowledgeable, dependable, compassionate, professional, and incredibly dedicated to the people she represents. There were moments throughout this journey when I felt completely overwhelmed and unsure of what was coming next. Having someone we trusted representing our son made those moments a little easier to navigate. From beginning to end, I knew Jessica was doing everything she could and that she would be honest with us along the way. If you find yourself facing a situation you never imagined you would be in, feeling overwhelmed and unsure of what to do next, Jessica is exactly the kind of person you want standing beside you. Some people simply do their job. Others leave a lasting impression because of the way they do it. Jessica is one of those people. I will forever be grateful for everything she did for our son and for the kindness, patience, compassion, and grace she extended to our family throughout the entire process.
