Mr. Jenkins is a very out standing man with impeccable character. He graduated from Baylor law school and I think served on the board of regents at Baylor University. My cousin also graduated from Baylor and he too, is a respected man in Ellis county.
I have decided to post this review so anyone else in Ellis county that gets him as a court appointed attorney can read this. I can tell you without a doubt that he will NOT represent you and that he does exactly what the DA tells him to. All attorneys are officers of the court first, and represent their clients second. But in my opinion, he is an officer of the court and does exactly what the DA wants regardless of the best interest of his "client." I was prepared to pay the top of the scale as far as the fine goes ($4,000) spend some time in jail, and be done with my mistake in Ellis county. But on my court date, it was "crammed down my throat " that I would pay a $950 fine with 2 years probation. Like I told him the first day we met, I, Steve Bolgiano am not a candidate for probation, but here I am.
So if my probation gets "violated," I wonder if he will represent me for free. I seriously doubt it. Good luck to you.
