I went to the Law Office of James Monroe with a complicated family matter that I was extremely worried about. Although the case went on for several months, I was kept informed throughout the entire process. Mr. Monroe handled every issue with professionalism and made the process as easy as possible for me, I was able to step back and let him do what he does best. Behind the scenes, Judi was always there to answer every call promptly and kindly. She is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. I could not recommend the Law Office of James Monroe more. I’m very grateful for everything they did for me.

He was court appointed GAL for my daughter. He didn't do a fair investigation and was a bully. He treated me like I was the felon. He met with my daughters father and his attorney and never met with me or even met my daughter. Even after multiple attempts of contact through my attorney and calls to his office. He thought a one hour conversation that mostly consisted of military talk was sufficient. He never spoke my witnesses, some of which were my daughters paternal family. He never came to my home and I didn't meet him until the day of trial in which he met with my attorney in another area of the court house and the next thing I knew I was bullied and representing myself. The entire case was mishandled.. his buddy Breeden admitted to all rule violations.. hopefully the VA state bar holds this guy accountable too so if he ever has to represent another 1 year old maybe he will take it more seriously. The lack of full attention and investigation for my daughter was very dangerous. It's not over. Luckily my daughter is strong and her sister protects her when she is not in my presence. God is in control. I believe you failed my daughter and she's paying for it and I pray you don't get the chance to do that anyone else. You really should take serious concerns and strong evidence into consideration and not try to relate it to your personal experience with your ex. My story is different. Way different. You dropped the ball on my daughter! I still thank you for your service to our nation, but your service to my daughter was atrocious. ATROCIOUS!

As the wife of a military retiree, who served in Viet Nam during 1971-72, I appreciate Mr. Monroe's pride in his service as well. My Father and Father-in-law served during WW11. My Father was shot in the Forrest while driving supplies to Paris. He completed his mission. My father-in-law was a MGST in the USMC and served in the Pacific. He later served in Japan completing 30 years service. My husband completed his service being called back to active duty for 3 years. He retired with 29 years of service to our Country in 2006.
