I am incredibly grateful for the guidance and support I received from Mayerlyn and her team during my immigration journey.

In 2005, I was a victim of domestic violence, to the extent that a judge granted me a 10-year restraining order against my ex-partner. After that, I spent many years consulting with different attorneys, trying to find a way to adjust my status. Unfortunately, none of them ever explained to me that I could qualify for a U visa. I was repeatedly told that too much time had passed, that nothing could be done, or that I would have to wait for my child to petition for me or get married.

Everything changed when I met Mayerlyn . During our first consultation, instead of asking “How can I help you?”, she said, “Tell me your story.” That simple question made me feel heard for the first time. I shared everything, from the beginning up to the present.

After reviewing my case, she told me that I qualified for a U visa. I couldn’t believe that after so many years, no one had ever guided me in that direction. Through that process, I was able to obtain a work permit, a driver’s license, and a Social Security number, which changed my life in many ways.

My journey didn’t end there. Later, when my son turned 21, he petitioned for me, and today I can finally say that my case has been successfully approved.

Looking back, I truly believe that if I had not found Mayerly and her team, I don’t know where I would be today. I will always be thankful for their professionalism, knowledge, and for truly taking the time to listen and guide me . Finally, today, April 17, 2026, my residency has been approved.
