Hudson Martin PC

I hired Hudson and Martin after the passing of my Mother in January of 2026. I spoke with Ms. Witten who I liked and trusted to help me with my parents Family Trust and my Mother’s last Will & Testament. Ms.Witten had me pay a very hefty retainer which I did and I believed everything was great. Well in actuality things weren’t great. This law firm did nothing besides tell people named in the will that my Mother had died. They did nothing else but always asked me to rush over papers, etc. What really upset me is when Ms. Witten handed my case to her collegue Ms. Tovakoli. From then on everything became horrible. I was told to rush to the office to sign documents with a notary who wasn’t there. I then was asked to drive to a UPS/ Fed Ex store at the Crossroads. Ms. Witten was well aware that I have health problems and running around for their benefit was very difficult. After all this Ms. Tovakoli went on a vacation to Japan. During her absence nothing was accomplished. Just a lot of wasted time. When I questioned everything I received an email from Ms. Witten releasing me as a client. Her email was cold and unprofessional. However they kept the thousands I had paid. I did report this to the State Bar who assisted me with finding a trustworthy Lawyer unlike this law firm. It was actually a blessing that Ms. Whitten refused to continue on as the law firm on file to assist me. I am a disabled Senior citizen and would never recommend this firm to anyone. Also I wish this disgusting firm would stop harrassing me for votes for being Monterey‘s best law firm which is utter BS. Update: September 29, 2026 In repsonse to Ms. Wittens reply to my Review. Just because she is an educated woman with a law degree doesn’t make her honest or a person with good integrity. Hudson and Martin received several thousand dollars and didn’t do much like they claimed. Ms. Witten and Ms. Tovakoli didn’t contact banks to get funds released. They didn’t contact the Monterey County Court they did none of that. My current attorney on record got the banks to release funds and he made sure I was able to sale my home. One very important thing I need to say: Ms. Witten claims I am being predatory and attacking her with my reviews, etc. This is utterly nonsense because everything I have written here is facts and I have plenty of proof.

Jeannette Witten and her team are very knowledgeable, professional and strategic. They were very candid and up-front without any fluff. It seemed that being an attorney doesn't only mean to know the laws but to also anticipate responses and behaviors from the other side. While it wasn't always easy to wait for next steps, the team did a great job keeping me informed. I would highly recommend this law firm.

Jeannette Witten And her staff have been beyond a blessing for my business partner and me at Crepes of Brittany! Inc. My business partner and I started in 2010 in literally a teeny little hole in the wall on Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey, we are talking 40 square feet.
