I met Howard Bookstaff at one of educational events held at Houston Apartment Association. He serves as general counsel of HAA since 1995, has authored amicus curia briefs and is actively involved in the apartment industry’s legislative efforts, both locally and in Austin. Howard is the head of the multi-family practice at Hoover Slovacek with focus on commercial and residential real estate, landlord/tenant law, condominium law and community association law. He assisted in the drafting of a number of Houston city ordinances as well as Texas state landlord/tenant laws. The wealth of knowledge and experience this attorney offers in litigation is profound and he definitely stands out in a multitude of real estate attorneys who self-advertize, but have quite a mediocre track record. I wish I had met Mr. Bookstaff sooner before I hired quite an incompetent attorney for my case last year and was charged an arm and a leg there for second-rate representation.

I worked with David Morrell, Jr. and my experience with him was great. He represented me in the sale of a $5MM+ commercial asset. His communication has always been clear, he's well-versed in the field, and his office maintains an organized process. They routinely deliver easy-to-understand invoices so that as a client, you're able to see/understand what's being done. He's very easy to talk to, listens, understands, and offers valuable feedback.
