I had a very concerning experience with Holly Lyons while she served as Guardian ad Litem in my family-law case. My concern is not simply that I disagreed with her recommendations. During sworn testimony, Ms. Lyons acknowledged that a personal professional bias affected how she viewed evidence I submitted. When questioned about detailed caregiving records I provided, she testified, “I have a bias as a practitioner when people come in with their hour account,” and when specifically asked whether she had an “internal bias” toward that evidence, she answered, “I kind of do, yes. I admit that.” She also acknowledged that some of her conclusions were based on assumptions or speculation. At one point, while discussing a negative characterization of me, she testified, “I don’t know whether that’s really true or not. That’s just kind of my speculation about that.” In another area, after being shown evidence she had reviewed but did not include in her report, she acknowledged, “I probably should have referenced that.” There were also instances where allegations were included or relied upon without being fully verified, and portions of her conclusions changed when primary-source evidence was presented at the hearing. In my view, a Guardian ad Litem has an enormous responsibility because courts may place significant weight on their investigation and recommendations. Based on my experience, I did not believe the investigation or resulting characterizations reflected the level of neutrality, verification, and objectivity that such a role requires. I would strongly encourage anyone involved in a case with Holly as the GAL to keep complete records, obtain the GAL’s underlying file when legally permitted, and carefully compare factual statements in the report against the source evidence.

She never responds to emails, doesn't call you back after contacting her several times about a case. She was suppose to be on my side to help me with my case and instead an completely 360 and was on the other person's side the whole time. WORST PUBLIC defender or I mean in correction the worst public PRETENDER I've ever had to deal with. Don't recommend at all

Holly helped me with emancipation twice. She is very nice. A good listener. Explains things easily. I had a much better experience than with other attorneys.

Holly , This has been a long hard journey ! Holly and Monica are the best ! My Divorce has been so Complicated at times I got so frustrated Holly you are so smart ! At the end we won ! Way to go you are the best . I would absolutely recommend Holly to handle any legal situation just be patient let her do her job you will be just fine !
