Mr Hennenfent was the lawyer for my parents estate. Settling the estate started in 2003. Shortly after starting on closing the estate, he raised his hourly fee by 42%. As time went by, Mr Hennenfent stopped sending annual reports on the estate so we, the heirs, had to hire a second lawyer to get the estate in front of a judge, causing the estate to pay for two lawyers. As the court case started, Mr Hennenfent hired a third lawyer to try the case for him, causing us to pay for three lawyers. This entire action took 15 years and a court order to settle what should have been an easy estate to settle. By the time the court case started, one of the heirs had died. Problems with the estate could have been avoided had Mr Hennenfent not had my mother sign a will modification after she was no longer of sound mind. She would have never agreed to his terms had she been able to understand them.
