Jennifer Hemmer served as judge pro temp in my settlement conference. She failed to remain objective and fair. She spoke only to opposing counsel and refused to hear both sides. She couldn’t demonstrate discernment necessary in family law issues. While she may be knowledge in the law, I would not trust her to fight for a client. I had considered seeking her counsel in the past, but there are better options such as Keely Nickelson, Mojadidi, etc.

Thank God for Jill Barr! I had a tough divorce that lasted for years. I finally hired Jill Barr who got everything moving quickly. She fought for and won attorneys fees for me. She insured my ex was court ordered to pay those fees and on time. She more than paid for herself in my settlement. Her staff is great. I found Jill through calling top divorce attorneys in Sacramento who recommended her. Finding a cheaper attorney won't necessarily cost you less. Jill is ethical and a straight shooter. She won't upsell you or promise things she can't deliver. She will take your case seriously and fight tooth and nail for you. She's very experienced and know exactly what she's doing. She cared. Saving money for me was important to her. She is an experienced trial attorney too. Thanks to her skills, I avoided trial, including costs associated as well. I came to just trust Jill completely which is rare for me. She doesn't ever pad her costs. My ex and I spent $30K on mediation and wasted 2 years, which got us absolutely nowhere. Then, thankfully, I found Jill. My ex and his unscrupulous attorney tried many agressive nasty angles and Jill quickly beat back the BS. She will refer you out to, and work on your behalf with forensic accountants, vocational evaluators and other professionals as needed. I could've saved myself years of family emotional damage, stress, and about $30K had I just hired her as soon as I decided to divorce. It's an awful process and you need a good lawyer. I have referred her to others who are pleased with her work. Finding a completely ethical attorney like her is rare. Those ethics matter when it comes to your legal costs and how she represents you and how a judge views you. Having a good attorney is critical. Sadly for my ex, my attorney was better. He found that out the hard way! He is now angry and bitter. I'm happy and have moved on. I feel our divorce and settlement was fair. I will always be deeply grateful for Jill and her firm.
