I received nothing but the best help from Joie Piderit. She was able to talk to the right people to help my case go as smooth as possible and avoid any possible jail time. I'll forever be grateful for the exceptional representation Joie gave me. Most importantly she showed compassion in a vulnerable time. They were also very reasonable with the payments as I was honest about my income.

I retained Helmer, Conley & Kasselman, P.A. during a very vulnerable and stressful time. Overall, my experience was mixed.

There was strong legal knowledge demonstrated at the senior level, and after I shared my concerns publicly, I received a direct phone call to discuss them, which I appreciated. That follow-up showed professionalism and a willingness to engage in dialogue.

However, my concerns primarily related to communication and overall team coordination throughout the process. At times, I felt unclear about court dates, case preparation, and next steps. I often had to initiate follow-up to receive updates, and during such an important matter, consistent communication and proactive guidance are extremely important.

Legal representation during a sensitive case is not just about legal strategy, but also about transparency, responsiveness, and making a client feel informed and supported. While there were strengths in the firm’s legal knowledge, I believe the client communication experience could be improved to better support individuals navigating difficult circumstances.

I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as clearer communication and stronger team coordination would make a meaningful difference for future clients.

I needed help as the plaintiff in a DV case as I was struggling to navigate the court system. I came
across this firm on a recommendation with the union country court. The attorney that took on my case was not the issue. The reason why I gave 2 stars is because of their parallel/ office assistant Linda. She had called me after I tried to renegotiate the retainer with their accounting department. She was very unprofessional, yelling at me over the phone that I am a “bull shit artist “ and “not to bull shit her or myself”. She told me how to feel with the amount of “work” that went into my case & how it was handled when I simply disagreed. Not sure how long she has worked there for but needs training on how to properly handle clients. I also asked her to have someone email me an updated contract so that I could have it in writing and was short about that as well. Still have not received anything from them on that.
