He took the time to explain everything, kept me informed about what was happening in court, and always treated me with respect.I also want this review to be a message of reconciliation and gratitude. I am extremely thankful that Richard Hart was appointed as the Guardian ad Litem for my sons. He truly fought for their best interests throughout our case, which went all the way to trial. Richard was excellent in court, asked all the right questions, and even the judge commented on how detailed and well-written his report was. He was responsive when I provided updates, making sure the important updates either made it in the report or were questioned at trial. He fought hard for my sons, and I’m grateful we achieved the outcome we were hoping for. I will always feel grateful for the work he put in to protect my family.

Atty. Eric Hart handled my case. He was the most honest, upfront, knowledgeable Attorney I have ever worked with. He answered my calls and correspondence promptly and communicated things to me in a way that was easy to understand. I would highly recommend, especially if you're looking for someone fair and honest, especially in delicate situations. Outstanding.

Edit 7/23/2025 - I wish I could leave a - star review. In court in May of 2025 Attorney Hart informed the Judge that this case had $11,000+ in total billings (which is absolutely outrageous but only half apparently). We had no other court appearances, and all Attorney Hart had left to do was submit his billing after the ruling. He magically found an additional $10,000+ of "work" he did on this case. At no time during the case did he submit ANY statements to either of the parties. Mind you both parents in this case have very limited incomes, and now he is forcing the parents to file bankruptcy as a result of his ludicrous charges. BE VERY CAREFUL. He does not work for the best interest of the child, and is only in this for the $. Total billing is $21,000, and he claims to have performed nearly 100 hours of work, and never asked ANY questions to at least 1 parent, and did not ask the child anything in regards to this case. His office is a complete rip off.

I am going to share my experience. This review in in Richard Hart's capacity as a GAL. In my personal experience and the experience of my son, who is 9 years old at the time of this review, Richard Hart did a terrible job as my son's Guardian Ad Litem. All of the evidence presented in the case was not investigated. Attorney Hart repeated whatever the mother's attorney said, in the courtroom, word for word. He did not ever ask the child, whom he was paid to represent, anything about the case. He did not investigate any allegations, did not take drug use and credible abuse claims seriously, and did not investigate anything involving the safety of the child.

Further in his capacity as a GAL, he requested the child be put on ADHD medication, when neither party requested it, and with almost ZERO interaction with the child. He based his opinion on a medical report that was proven to not be accurate, and a report card. As a result the court ordered the medication which was horrific and had extremely adverse effects on the child. BEWARE of his motivation. He charges $300 an hour for an impoverished child, and does little to no work on the case. He was not motivated in any way to research or protect the child.

Attorney Hart never asked any questions of the child or the parents, and based his whole opinion on a questionnaire, and not on facts. One party lied on every question, and one was honest. He took the one riddled with lies and formed a positive opinion of that parent, and took the honest parent's answers as a negative. On the stand he highlighted the positive things of one parent and focused solely on anything that the court would be negative about the other. he further recommended 1 day a week visitation of a non abusive, mainly supporting parent, which the court refuted completely, as even the court saw it was ridiculous and completely biased, so they awarded the parent with 150 days instead of the "recommendation" of this GAL.

In the end a non attorney was able to beat both attorney Hart and the mother's attorney in court, WITHOUT REPRESENTATION. He received 150 days of nights with the child, which the child is very grateful for, and honestly the child wants 50/50 back with the father. Attorney Hart never took the time to ask anything about the home life and background of the case, which is likely why he was not successful.

Be very careful if he is appointed to your case, he does NOT care about the children, and do not fall for the dribble on their website, they are not at all for Father's rights, at least in the capacity of a GAL.
