Harris Loftus, PLLC

We recently discovered that Harris Loftus, specifically Sarah Lewis, filed a civil action against me in Cobb County, however, I am clearly not the correct individual.
The filing appears to be based on information that does not match me in any meaningful way. The person they intended to pursue:

Has a different first name (their first name matches my middle name, not my actual first name)
Shares only the same last name
Has a different address
Has a different date of birth
Has a different last four digits of their Social Security number
Has a military history, which I do not

These are not minor discrepancies--they are fundamental identity differences that should have been identified before filing a lawsuit.
What is especially concerning is the lack of responsiveness:
We called the office twice
Left a voicemail
Sent two emails

We received no response, despite an active court deadline.
As a result, we were forced to prepare and file a legal response ourselves to protect against a claim that should never have been filed against us.

Based on this experience, I would strongly advise others to exercise extreme caution when dealing with Harris Loftus. Filing a lawsuit against the wrong individual under these circumstances reflects serious failures in both verification and communication. In my opinion, this conduct is fundamentally wrong, and I would recommend avoiding this firm altogether.

If I could give zero stars, I would. They offered me a five-payment payoff plan for debt collection, and once I approved, they rejected it and said it needed to be paid off in three payments instead. They're bullies profiting off people's hardships.

By far one of the most incompetent companies I've ever had the displeasure of doing business with against my will. I'm trying to make a FINAL LUMP SUM payment to end a continuing garnishment and I can't get any assistance AT ALL from them. Their Customer Service absolutely SUCKS and the idiots who answers the phones has no knowledge of anything and will transfer your calls to "John Gray" which is not even a real person because he never returns calls. I'm going to file a complaint with the FTC and CFPB against this company.
