Visited the law office prepared with paper work. Was given a quote for beginning to end of legal services. Everything was filed and done as stated by attorney. They handled a few extra issues without a hesitation and papers were still filed promptly as previously discussed. A+

Absolutely the best lawyer in town. Mrs Harman goes above and beyond for her clients. I'm sure every client is unique and unique would be quite the understatement for my particular custody/divorce case. However, Mrs. Harman always handled it with 10/10 service. Mrs. Harman will also save you money if possible by telling you what is worth your time or offering you options on things you can easily do yourself. Not only that, she is also involved in the community and a well known advocate for children and animals alike. If I EVER needed an attorney in Elizabeth City I would no doubt call her before anyone else. Thank you so much for everything Mrs. Harman!

I contacted this office on July 7th, 2025 for services. And received a callback after 5pm. An appointment was made for Wednesday 8/6/2025 @12pm by the office manager/administrative assistant. I called back on 7/29 to cancel the appointment as I received resolution for inquiry I had. Was informed at that time, the office was closed until 8/11 for a scheduled out of office event. I thought that was weird considering I had the appointment for the 6th. I did in the vcml msg I left state to cancel the appointment that I had. I gave detailed information about the appt. Guess what I was never contacted. On 8/13, I was charged a fee for not showing. I called the office on 8/14, no answer so I left another vcml about my concerns. This morning I get a callback telling me I was wrong and that they called me several times on 8/12. I have my call log all the way back to January 2025 on my phone because of an issue I have been having. Guess what, no missed incoming calls from this office. Is this the normal practice of your firm? Today is the 1st I have received a callback/missed call from that office since 7/7/25. To be clear the “issue” I was having was not with my phone but with an individual. Please do not try and twist my words to invalidate my issue with you and your office. You made the mistake. To write down Wednesday August 6th is a big jump from writing Tuesday August 12th as you state that was the date of our appointment. And as a professional, to start hollering at the party on the other end of the phone because they don’t agree with your statements “of facts” is egregious. Is this how you do in court to win. Please grow up or retire!
