I reached out to Hare Wynn regarding a high-acuity medical malpractice claim on behalf of my mother. While individual support staff members (the initial intake specialist and the attorney's assistant) were professional and addressed my questions to their capacity, the overall handling of the case by the legal team was deeply disappointing, delayed, and ultimately a waste of critical time. Professionalism & Communication: Going months without direct attorney communication created immense stress while our situation remained unresolved. When the formal response finally arrived, it was clear that months were lost on a superficial review. Thoroughness of Case Evaluation & Omission of Claims: When I initially submitted the case, I explicitly asked the firm to investigate a severe breach of care that occurred during a prolonged Emergency Department stay. As confirmed in their denial letter, the firm completely ignored this aspect of the claim. They made zero mention of the ER’s failures or the severe collapse of her vitals while under direct ER care. Bypassing the core ER negligence entirely is an unacceptable oversight. Defective Review of Portal Records: In their formal written response, the firm confirmed they based their evaluation strictly on basic patient portal records. Given that the portal’s vitals section was displaying an active system error that required a specific workaround to access, it is almost certain the firm never even viewed her vitals. Evaluating a complex medical claim solely through a glitched consumer portal—while completely ignoring raw bedside telemetry, nursing flowsheets, and internal Electronic Health Record (EHR) audit metadata—is a deeply flawed screening method. Transparency & Dismissal of Baseline Status: When I presented the case, I clearly explained my mother’s background history alongside documentation showing she entered the facility alert, conversant, and stable. Despite this, the attorney's denial focused almost entirely on pre-existing history to claim "causation" couldn't be proven. Instead of investigating the facility's active monitoring errors that directly caused her injury, the firm used her underlying medical history as a generic reason to drop the file. Overall Experience: Navigating a catastrophic hospital injury is emotionally draining. Waiting months only to receive a rejection based on portal records and generalized history—while completely missing the core ER breach of care claim—was deeply demoralizing. While front-line support staff show professionalism, the internal attorney review process lacks the thoroughness, communication, and depth required for complex medical malpractice litigation. **This review reflects my personal interaction, not the firm’s legal capabilities.
