If I could leave a negative review here I would. I witnessed today a few phone conversations between Mr. Altounian and my friend where Mr. Altounian and his receptionist were, in my opinion, intensely and unecessarily rude to my friend. I'm in no way associated with the matter being discussed, I just would not want anyone representing me in the eyes of the law to speak to anyone in the manner that Mr. Altounian did. My friend called Mr. Altounian's office three times in my presence today in order to confirm the terms of a legal settlement he had discussed the day previously with Mr. Altounian; the first time he called the receptionist seemed to me argumentative and condescending, and the second time she hung up on him after he gave her his name. Afterwards my friend called back recording the call and informing her that he was recording the call; she put him through right away to Mr. Altounian, who seemed already flustered. Throughout the length of the three minute phone call, Mr. Altounian was defensive at what may just have been a miscommunication, he was accusatory and hostile, he denied consent to be recorded, then gave consent to be recorded, then denied consent again. Does this sound to you like a man you want representing your best interests? At no point did my friend raise his voice to Mr. Altounian, yet Mr. Altounian degraded and tried to antagonize my friend for several minutes. My friend is LESS willing to settle out of court with Mr. Altounian's client because of this. Don't hire this guy. (cross posted to yelp)
