I hired Global Legal Law Firm to help fight my business being placed on the MATCH list. During the sales process, they heavily emphasized their experience with MATCH cases, claimed they knew exactly how to present them, and made it sound like they had an extremely high success rate (over 90%). Based on those assurances, I decided to move forward. Unfortunately, the reality was the opposite. I had to hold their hand through the entire process. I was constantly reviewing their work, pointing out missing pieces, correcting details, and telling them what should be communicated. There was no proactive strategy, guidance, or leadership, which is exactly what you expect when you hire a specialized law firm. They rarely reached out with updates unless I specifically asked, yet I was billed on an ongoing basis. I also had to repeat my story and explain, over and over again, why my business should not be on the MATCH list. It never felt like they fully understood my case or took ownership of it. For small business owners especially, do not let them convince you they will handle this for you. In my experience, they took my money and essentially disappeared unless prompted. This process is stressful enough without having to manage your own legal team. I would not recommend them.

Global Legal Law helped me recover a large sum of money that had been held hostage by payment processors for over a year. The processor even tried to use their own attorney to intimidate me, but GLL gave me the peace of mind and confidence I needed.

AVOID GLOBAL LEGAL'S ANTHONY ARAGONA AT ALL COSTS. If I could give 0 STARS to Global Legal's newest partner, I would. My hiring of Anthony Aragona was the single worst legal experience of my life. I’ve worked with law firms before, but none had an attorney this careless or disappointing. Aragona even allowed my notarization to be pasted onto a document I never reviewed—riddled with errors—and served it on opposing counsel (OC), who lambasted it before the judge. That was just the tip of the iceberg. Over 14 MONTHS of being represented by Aragona at his previous firm, my case never had a single hearing. Not one. (Only after I went pro se did I finally get a hearing.) It’s not like we tried and lost—after 14 months and thousands of dollars, my case was in the same place, if not worse. Hiring him was like shoveling cash into a bonfire. Aragona’s SLOPPINESS showed constantly. He filed documents with other clients’ names still in them. At one hearing, OC told the judge Aragona filed a motion “purporting to represent Mitsubishi, not a party to this action.” He also grossly mishandled my interrogatories. First he sent OC a partial set with my answers under my own questions. When asked to resend, the answers were still under the wrong questions—so it looked like I was answering my own questions and not complying with discovery! Worse, MY NOTARIZATION HAD BEEN PASTED ONTO IT WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE. I learned this only when OC forwarded it to me. I rushed to file a corrective notice with the court. To me, that was a serious misrepresentation and felt like document mishandling of the worst kind. Despite this, the managing partner at his old firm wrote me that “Tony is an incredible attorney, so you are in very good hands.” My experience with him was anything but “incredible.” In my opinion, his sudden departure from that firm after just 18 months speaks for itself. Communication was poor—weeks went by with no updates, and I had to constantly chase him for basics. Then came the DISAPPEARING ACT: I was suddenly told Aragona had left the firm. Around the same time, I received a court notice my case faced dismissal for inactivity. In my view, it is no coincidence. His BILLING PRACTICES, IMO, were excessive and exploitative. 1.2 hours billed for a “discovery review” that took me ~15 min to read; 0.9h for a templated Proposal for Settlement that required maybe 5 min to swap names and numbers; 0.4h for a two-sentence email; 0.1h for a calendar entry; and 0.7h for two 30-second 65-word emails. These are but a few examples. When I first raised billing concerns via a detailed letter, his old firm gave me a $750 peanut “discount” without addressing a single example. Shortly after, Aragona was gone from that firm. IMHO, it’s hard not to suspect performance issues like the ones I lived through may have contributed to his sudden departure. After his departure from the firm, I again raised my concerns and notified Mr. Aragona of my intention to pursue a refund and file complaints if the matter was not resolved, he responded by accusing me of criminal extortion and even threatened to forward my communication to the State Attorney. This speaks to his character and, in my opinion, this was an intimidation attempt meant to silence a client raising legitimate grievances. I’ve documented everything and filed a Florida Bar complaint with a 42-page exhibit package. BOTTOM LINE: In my experience, Anthony Aragona mismanaged my case from start to finish, over-billed, humiliated me in court, then disappeared. His priority was never my outcome, but how much he could bill before ultimately walking away. If you value your time, your money, and quality legal work, STAY FAR AWAY from Anthony Aragona.
