Gilligan, Frisco & Trutanich, LLP

This is, without a doubt, the worst attorney I have ever encountered. Her name is Janine M. Frisco I was not the person who hired this attorney; my younger sister was her client. Over the course of exactly one year, my sister paid this attorney more than $60,000 in legal fees and expenses. Despite the enormous amount of money she paid, my sister received very little, if any, meaningful help from this attorney. What happened during the deposition was especially disturbing to me. In my view, instead of vigorously defending her own client’s interests, this attorney appeared to be defending or accommodating the opposing attorney’s position. When my sister asked why she was not standing up for her as her attorney, the attorney reportedly responded, “I am afraid of the other attorney.” What kind of attorney tells her own client that she is afraid of opposing counsel? Throughout the case, this attorney repeatedly pressured my sister to settle, even when the proposed settlement appeared to be much more favorable to the opposing side. She also warned my sister that if she refused to settle, there would be various negative consequences—A, B, C, and D. After witnessing what happened during the deposition, I strongly advised my sister to terminate her relationship with this attorney. I also advised her to consider filing a complaint with the appropriate California State Bar authorities regarding the attorney’s conduct and professional standards. If you are considering hiring this attorney, please think very carefully before doing so. Based on my experience and what I personally witnessed, I would not recommend this attorney to anyone looking for an attorney who will aggressively and confidently advocate for their client. Horrible - hundreds of thousands wasted

This review is long overdue. Kristin Trutanich and her team worked diligently to help me secure joint custody and overnights with my little girl. By doing that she helped me become a daddy instead of just a visitor in my child’s life so for that I am forever grateful… and we’re not finished yet.

I highly recommend this firm and if I could give them 10 stars, I would.
