I was told I would be getting a check from my father’s account, given a date by the lawyer other I would receive the check March 15th.. it’s been months. Called and was told my check was going to be mailed out that day, waited a few days didn’t show so I called again then it was “the commissioner hasn’t approved it yet” so I waited some more weeks called back now it’s there was an issue, They keep giving me the runaround. Every time I call either the woman handling my father’s account isn’t there or cant talk. Just called today and now they’re telling me this lawyer is on vacation until July 10th. I don’t know what lawyer takes two week vacations but I mean this is just insane. I was given a date of March 15th it’s almost JULY. This is beyond ridiculous.

It takes a lot for me to leave a bad review. I will be the first one to offer grace and understanding. However, when negligence turns into a large problem 17 years later, I just want to ensure that another home owner doesn’t fall into the same problem as we did

In 2007 we refinanced a line of credit and our mortgage. Went to settlement and paid off the line of credit. What didn’t happen is the notification of the title company that this has been done. Now, we are supposed to Close on our property in a couple of days, and cannot because of this large delay. Because of the age and which we refinanced 17 years ago, they were unable to find us. They finally found us. But again with no restitution as to how to solve the problem, our current title company and us as homeowners to do all the legwork for them. Homeowners should not have to follow up on the professionals that we’ve entrusted in matters, such as these!
