This lawyer does not deserve any stars honestly. March 23rd I met with him to begin a divorce process. He took not even 20 minutes to speak with me and it felt so rushed. He asked surface level questions and didnt take the time to hear me out on anything. Its been a month now since that consultation and havent heard from him. I called today to ask for a refund due to his lack of communication and he admitted to not even having started the case. In our consultation he told me not to speak to my daughter’s mother who doesn’t let me see my child. So ive gone a month of waiting and hoping this process would be over with soon so i can see my daughter and he hasnt lifted a finger. But he sure did deposit the money I gave him up front. Then he had the audacity to propose a discount for his lack of work if i decided to keep him as my lawyer. If you want a caring and speedy lawyer to defend you, this man is not it by any means. Save your time and money.

Update (4/25) Mr. Akin I see your response states that I got a full refund. I was given a check by you in which the check bounced. Ive yet to get my money. You stated over the phone that you need to get a loan in order to give me my money back. Ill be waiting for my money very impatiently let that be known. I have not seen my daughter in 3 months and you are delaying that from happening by playing with my money. Already wasted one month of my time where nothing has been done for my case, told me not to speak to my daughter’s mother in which she wont let me see my daughter unless the court tells her i can see her, and you have not been professional by any means. Youve been late everytime we agree on a time to meet. You dismiss my concerns when we speak. Everything about you is unprofessional. So the people must be aware of what they are dealing with when they hire you.
