I love going to the conservatory in Brookside Gardens in Wheaton, Maryland, to see the variety of plants like bird-of-paradise, banana tree with bananas, and I like the little waterfall with colorful fish.

There is the Nature Center, which houses a bee colony that you can see the bees at work. There is a place to sit down and watch the birds and the squirrels busily eating seeds. And there is a poster of the different birds so you can identify them.

The gardens itself has something blooming most times of the year. There are trails to explore. It is a peaceful setting.
