⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Four Years Overdue — An Attorney Who Truly Fought for Me This five-star review is four years overdue, and after everything I went through with my case, I feel like it’s finally time to give Dawn and this firm the recognition they deserve. When I was originally charged with aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony, I was labeled the “mastermind” of the case. There were four co-defendants, and the situation was extremely serious. I knew my freedom and my future were on the line. Before Dawn took my case, I had another attorney representing me. At that time, I felt like things were headed in a completely different direction. The attorney was trying to work out a three-year prison sentence for me, and probation wasn’t even something I felt was realistically being pursued. On top of that, I was never shown the evidence in my case, which left me feeling like I didn’t fully understand what I was up against. Then Dawn took over my case, and everything changed. Because of COVID, my case became a very long process. I spent four years on bond probation. For the first 2½ years, I was required to wear an ankle monitor, and after that I spent another 1½ years on regular probation. For those four years, the prosecutor continued pushing the same 10-year sentence at virtually every court setting. They simply would not let up. But neither did Dawn. She fought for me tooth and nail. She went above and beyond, continued advocating for me, and never made me feel like she was just trying to get my case off her desk. She fought for a better outcome even when the prosecution refused to budge. Rather than simply taking the case to trial, Dawn took a different approach and went to the judge to fight for a better resolution. Her hard work and persistence ultimately paid off. She was able to get my aggravated robbery charge reduced to robbery and get me six years of deferred adjudication probation instead of the 10-year sentence the prosecution had been demanding for four years. That was an enormous difference in the direction of my life. Dawn also fought to get me off the ankle monitor after 2½ years, which was another huge step forward for me. When I look back at everything now, I can honestly say that Dawn didn’t give up on me. She stood in my corner through a case that lasted years, through COVID, through repeated court dates, and through a prosecutor who wouldn’t let up. She didn’t just tell me what was easiest. She fought for what she believed was the best possible outcome for me. I am extremely grateful that she took my case and continued fighting for me when the odds felt stacked against me. I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with Hampton Law Firm, particularly with the conduct of attorney Rebecca. Throughout the duration of my case, I felt that my concerns and interests were consistently disregarded, and I was pressured into making decisions that were not in my best interest. Most notably, Rebecca pushed me into accepting a charge that I did not believe was justified or in line with the circumstances of my case. Despite my reservations and clear desire for a different approach, she strongly encouraged me to take the charge, citing vague and unconvincing reasons. Her demeanor was dismissive of my questions and concerns, and I felt that my rights and options were not fully explained to me. The entire experience was incredibly disheartening, as I trusted the firm to represent me fairly and competently, only to find myself coerced into an outcome I felt was neither necessary nor appropriate. This lack of transparency and professional integrity has left me deeply dissatisfied with both the firm and its representation, as I was forced to accept a charge that I was being falsely accused of. THEY TOLD ME TO TURN MYSELF IN FOR A CHARGE I DID NOT COMMIT, SO THAT I CAN PAY THEM $10,000. She did NOTHING to try to dismiss the charge. When I was in front of the Judge he even looked at me Like was I sure I wanted to accept the charge. Rebecca told me I would take a charge I didn't commit. I ended up spending over $10,000 on attorney fees. Do Not go to this lawfirm. They will NOT represent you, they will just drain your wallets. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. Rebecca was HORRIBLE!
