Attorney Russell Freeman handled our family member’s complicated estate that had to go through Davidson County’s lengthy probate process. We had been told years ago by our now deceased family member, that all we would have to do as his executors is simply “go to the Bank Box, get the stuff out, take it to an Attorney, and the Attorney would take care of everything from there”….little did we know, that is not how Davidson County Probate works. The estate posed many issues and Russell did a great job explaining everything to us as we moved through the process. There were many steps involved…per the 15 year old will, we were designated as co-executors (which required both signatures in person, every time we did anything); this handwritten will had to be approved by the probate court with proof of the deceased’s handwriting (we had to provide witnesses that recognized his writing); a handwritten codicil that also had to go to court; an executor bond; full inventory and thorough accounting requiring probate approval; accountant had to prepare complex income taxes that were due; heirs/beneficiary issues; 3 real estate properties in 2 different counties & one of these properties included a contracted cell phone tower; problems with keeping insurance on properties during the long process; multiple court dates; etc. Russell and his office team handled everything with great care…definitely went above & beyond many times. We probably drove him crazy with all of our early morning email questions…but Russell always followed through quickly on the answers we needed. Also, we have to give huge bonus points for Freeman & Bracey’s office being located on the edge of Nashville in Goodlettsville…easy in and out with plenty of FREE parking! We definitely would recommend Attorney Russell Freeman.

This firm was in my legal plan network, MetLife legal plan. There were many obstacles that this firm had to face with us. My loan officer quitting in the middle of the loan process, Chase not informing us of certain things til the last minute, The borrower and coborrower having to live and sign in two different states. Not only were they very professional but prompt in their responses to us. They sent two notaries to our home too in two different states, emails were responded rapidly to questions we had and they had to work with many agents from multiple states to buy our condo and we were still able to close on time. I would definitely recommend them as well as using them again in the future.
