This firm was in my legal plan network, MetLife legal plan. There were many obstacles that this firm had to face with us. My loan officer quitting in the middle of the loan process, Chase not informing us of certain things til the last minute, The borrower and coborrower having to live and sign in two different states. Not only were they very professional but prompt in their responses to us. They sent two notaries to our home too in two different states, emails were responded rapidly to questions we had and they had to work with many agents from multiple states to buy our condo and we were still able to close on time. I would definitely recommend them as well as using them again in the future.

My buyers chose Freeman & Bracey to close their real estate transaction. A transaction fee was clearly disclosed in the contract and discussed prior to closing. My transaction coordinator spoke directly with Melissa at Freeman & Bracey and was informed that because closing was too near they preferred not to revise the settlement statement and send the file back through underwriting.(Which I agree with) Melissa stated instead that the buyer would provide a check at closing and Freeman & Bracey would issue payment directly to our office. This was fine with us and not a big deal because it was going to be handled.

The fee was never added to the settlement statement and was not collected at closing.

What concerned me most was the communication afterward. Rather than acknowledging the breakdown in the process, an email was sent implying the issue resulted from my failure to review an email response despite the fact that not all of the communication throughout the transaction occurred by email. More importantly, my buyers were copied on that communication, which I thought was highly unprofessional and unnecessary.

Mistakes can happen in any transaction and I fully understand that. What matters is how they are handled afterward. Professionalism, communication, and accountability matter, especially in a closing environment where all parties should work together respectfully and transparently. I was disappointed by both the handling of the issue and the final communication surrounding it. This is not what I am accustomed to receive from a title agency.

Very unresponsive. We had a pressing issue going on and I was told she, I won’t name her name, would get back to me. I tried twice again over the next two weeks no return phone calls. Unbelievable! They blow you off. I guess they have enough clients to not care. The worst part is we use them in the past with decent results. Definitely will never call them again for anything, and I would recommend shopping around before calling them. There are a lot of options.
