I am behind thankful for the assistance that my mother and I received from this law office. Our situation was a little bit unique as I am in San Diego and my mom is on the eastern side of Texas, but we needed to take care of her will and everything. After calling around and speaking to a number of offices in Houston, I found Ford + Bergner. From the moment I called and spoke to their amazing receptionist I believe her name is Melissa I was treated respect and care. She listened to what I needed and how complicated our situation was. She then passed her information on to belinda who called me back and I had a very nice conversation with her again she was polite, patient and understanding to the situation . We then had a conversation with my mother who agreed that this would be the best place to go. We were then assisted by Luis one of the associate lawyers. We had a team meeting with him, which was helpful given I’m in San Diego and my mother was there in Texas. He answered all of our questions very patiently he let me explain things to my mother, so she understood it. My mom was able to answer her questions and Luis was beyond patient. Everything was able to be done via email. All the drafts were able to be looked at all questions were answered in a timely manner. We were able to set up a time for us to come in to visit since I was going to be in town. Once we arrive to the office, we are welcomed by Melissa and taking to a conference room all the documents were ready for us to review belinda and our two witnesses that were provided also met us in the room. We were asked if we had any additional questions. Belinda went over all the paperwork and then in about 35 minutes we were done with everything. Luis also came in and was very apologetic that he was not able to do the paperwork with us as he had a meeting that he had to take care of. The office is on the 41st floor of a beautiful building. The office is well kept warm and welcoming not like a typical lawyer‘s office. We will be using this office again for my mother‘s boyfriend will and trust. A huge thank you to everybody in the office for all your assistance and warmth and understanding to our situation.

I had the honor to work with Samuel Hodges. His knowledge with complex Ancillary Estate Probate litigation resulted in a successful Response Letter to the opposing Probate Attorney, which shut down the opposing attorney’s chance of even presenting their case against me.

After my Ancillary Probate was over, I had to address the main Estate Probate in Mississippi, where the real property was located.

Samuel encouraged me to advocate for myself and I was able to write and submit my own documents filed to the Mississippi Court. Due to his past examples used in Texas Probate, taught me how to prove my case and I won in Mississippi as well.

Samuel is an excellent listener, empathetic, made himself available, and he is well organized. His fees were extremely more than reasonably and fair.
