I had an old issue from 30+ years on my record for which I hired Findley and Rogers to help get my firearms rights restored. I simply had to email them, pay the fee via secure online service (I chose to do this, you could send it direct PossiblY no idea). And then it simply took roughly 3 or 4 months and I had my rights restored after which I received contact that day saying congrats the judge signed off on everything and I literally went the same day to Spokane police dept to files for an appointment for my fingerprint. I went in 2 weeks later and did so and my CPL will be here any day (4 -6 weeks and I'm in week 5 now, so any day. I already bought my gun a week after rights being restored also and waited the 10 BUSINESS days (holidays don't cont so it's actually more like 15 ACTUAL days barring no holidays offset this any more) I pickup my firearm in a day April 1st and CPL any day right behind that. Fletcher made this VERY easy, I just paid the fee and they did all the work on their end and stayed in VERY good contact with me. The worst part was the waiting I'll admit. But it couldn't have gone smoother. Even buying my firearm was done a bit earlier than they recommended for fear it wouldn't be in the system yet but it was so I'm free and clear now and can answer NO to any specific types of crime and It was also 30+ years ago. Some think this just goes off your record which isn't the case You have to request this which is why you hire an attorney to help, it' smuch quicker as they do all the legal mumbo jumbo on their end for you, you just wait and prepare basically. Couldn't be happier. CALL THEM! A bit long, but I wanted some people to know the actual scenario as it'll apply to many of you/us the first time. Now I could go buy another sure, I'd still have to wait the mandatory 10 business days again for another purchase. There's no limit on how many handguns you buy at any ONE time, but if you want one later for any reason it's a new application/background check 10 day period all over again, that is state law and nothing you can get around whatsoever so just know this. (For WA. state anyways) but nonetheless I have my rights restored! yay!! Stupid dum mistake from years ago no longer haunting me and I'm a FREE man in this sense and it feels wonderful. Getting my passport in a few weeks too just to have it and now can also officially vote etc. We all have made mistakes in our lives, this doesn't dictate who we are, call them and get it started, it's super easy and they couldn't have been more professional, courteous and fast. Get it started now, you'll most likely only need a few months and it'll be done! Do it! It's only going to get tougher to buy firearms again soon too, as there's new bills being presented so get your legal stuff out of the way now.
