They were not helpful, and appeared to side with the other party. They informed me there was no law for grandparentIng time in Michigan, although several other MI attorneys I’ve spoken with say this is untrue. On the plus side, they did not charge a retainer but simply a letter fee (+ another fee to reply to a simple email).

I Strongly encourage you to avoid retaining Mrs.Ferris. Her big ego doesn’t stand up to her tiny results. What will likely happen is destruction of a coparenting relationship, and costing you thousands of dollars more than ever should be spent. Worst of all, likely damaging your child’s overall wellbeing. A good attorney should mediate and counsel their clients. Instead of resolving this matter reasonably like it should ferris’s goal is to drag this on in court for many months. Ferris does not care about facts, instead knowingly twisting the truth she makes false accusations wasting time and money that could be utilized for your children. Your child/children deserve better than making the mistake to get Mrs ferris involved.

Below regarding prior experience:

This attorney along with her prior cases should be reviewed for criminal activity/misconduct committed in a court of law by her and her clients. The only way she can attempt to gain the upper hand. This attorney is a disgrace to other attorneys, children most of all, and families. The Judge involved in my case is no longer responsible for reviewing family court cases thankfully. There is no wonder why. ferris should be prohibited from representing clients in any case as an attorney as well.

Do not use this person. Protect your children. There should be discipline for assisting clients to commit crimes and calling it representation. What went on was illegal. Is illegal. If you care about your children avoid.

As a father going through the Bad Axe Court system you are already fighting an uphill battle when it comes to child custody. When you add on the behavior used by this opposing counsel and her client, many children and their parents would have no chance at having a fair shot at life. The children in the end are the biggest victims used throughout this whole sad process. This attorney assisted her client to commit multiple felony crimes in the bad axe court system.

I will make this very clear. My daughter is with me 7 out of 14 days all year after this. Very good outcome. What was allowed to go on and the path it took to get that time with my daughter exposes what a disgrace our family court system is. No parent should have to go through this for bringing an innocent child into this world. Especially with people like this practicing law within it.

I am a respected member of the community, helping many as an RN in Genesee county. Most important I am a father to my daughter. The fact that this person is still doing this to families and children is my main concern.

Ferris actually assisted her client to commit multiple accounts of felony perjury, multiple accounts of making false statements and accusations while representing a client, and assisted her client in falsifying and editing multiple documents submitted to use as exhibits during a court case. She used multiple forms of misconduct to try and gain the upper hand.

All for what? ruining childrens lives..... (and earning $$ by while doing so)

I wonder why attorneys act illegally and perform professional misconduct with no worries??. Our legal system, especially the family courts in Huron County and Genesee County are a JOKE.

Obviously this judge knows the attorney in question and will not pursue discipline. They are “professional” acquaintances. Its a joke. Which brings the Judges actions into question. The fact her and Judge Prill worked side by side at the law firm should have some impact.

If you have experienced similar behavior or attorney misconduct I would strongly urge you to report it to the Attorney Grievance Commission. Exposing a pattern of attorney misconduct with more reports coming through is key.

If you truly care about your child or children I strongly encourage you to avoid . Mrs.Ferris you are a Liar and you have grand parents lie to the judge the truth shall prevail and keep racking in Grandma's money . Also like alaikum
