I work with attorney Richard Williams. He has helped me close several real estate deals in Rockingham county. He takes care of my deals in a timely fashion and is a great communicator. He goes above and beyond to get the job done. I've enjoyed doing business together and I hope to continue to build the relationship for years to come.

I began my case working with Mark Keeney, who was absolutely amazing. He did an excellent job advocating for our child during an ongoing custody matter. He took the time to walk me through each step of the process, communicated clearly, and ensured that he was looking out not only for the well-being of our child, but for me as well. He truly made me feel like I was not just another case and showed genuine care during a very stressful time.

Following the firm’s merger, my case transitioned to Mr. Hux. While I have not yet had extensive interaction with him beyond a few phone calls and emails, he has been professional and polite in our interactions. Based on my experience with Mr. Keeney and Mr. Keeney’s recommendation, I am hopeful that Mr. Hux will help secure an outcome that is in the best interest of our daughter.

I'm really disappointed in my experience with this firm. I was living temporarily in North Carolina from out of state and got a speeding ticket while driving up to my office in southern Virginia. The lack of communication and the amount of balls that were dropped by Farver, Skidmore, and Hux were extremely frustrating.

-On my court date, I didn't hear anything from the firm so I called them and was notified that they decided to delay the hearing
-I had to continuously follow up for updates and was never notified of anything by phone, mail, or email
-Once the result came that they were lessening the charges, they said they would take care of everything and that this would be lessened enough to not affect my license or insurance
-Months later, I got a letter in the mail stating that my license was soon to be revoked because they had not received the payment for the fine. The firm was supposed to pay on my behalf, I had paid them months earlier when I first started working with them
-Once that was ironed out, there were no further issues, UNTIL I just received my yearly insurance renewal. It went up $800/year due to this ticket, although I was told it would not.

The amount of mistakes and lack of communication and end result I received from what should have been a very straightforward case was astonishing. I do not recommend this firm. Not sure if relevant because I never spoke with him, but Jeff Hux was the lawyer for my case.
