Mrs Dougherty took more than $50000 from me and I have no tangible result. She promises big results and not only doesn't deliver, she abandoned us altogether. She has threatened to sue me. Hilarious because she already got all my money and left me living in my truck.

I use to think my ex was the biggest mistake of my life, but even worse was hiring Dougherty to teiresevt me. All she care about is money and more money.

I recently hired Donna based on her website and the testimonials. That was my bad. I now know that Donna has had 5 different lawyer firms in like 5 years so I didn't see all the bad reviews. Donnie is kinda mean and talks down to her clients. She bills alot. Like every possible penny. She lost our case and just giggled and sent more invoices. She humiliated me and made me poorer than i was before my ex. I wish I could go back and hire a good lawyer.

There are way better lawyers than her.

Please, the wisest thing you can do for yourself, if you want to divorce someone, is to go to another law firm. ANY other law firm! Hell, maybe some sort of law school graduate that barely scraped by. This would be the #1 thing I would change, if I had it to do over.
I was still reeling from the ultimate proverbial "straw that broke the camels back" in my abusive marriage. I was in shock and could barely see or think straight. Donna and Kate constantly reassured me that they would take care of everything and go after any and every thing they could in settlement from the horrible, alcoholic and abusive man I had been married to. They talked bad about him any time they saw him and frankly, they weren't wrong...but, very unprofessional. His own lawyer apparently spoke similarly about his client...or so Donna told me.
I had to do ALL the legwork for my case including information retrieval, files, reports...all of it. It made absolutely no sense, how much I was paying them vs how much work I was doing, solely on my own. I was doing almost ALL the work, yet they were monetarily "raking it in". The divorced dragged on long after all my money was gone and I became desperate and trapped. I just wanted to be out of my husbands control and these 2 women (Donna and Kate), who supposedly had tons of experience with these kinds of cases, couldn't care less about their client and only cared about the dollar signs they were bringing in. These women should be flooded with all kinds of resources for their clients or at least ways to help accomplish tasks they required. They dragged everything out months longer than they said each portion would take and kept charging...and kept charging.
I finally had to essentially walk away from the marriage/divorce. I had no more money to fight and I told these 2 as such. NEVER once did I hear from Donna again. I was dropped, ignored and pushed off to Kate so fast, I could barely see what was occurring.
I got very little advice, suggestions or ultimately help just not being screwed over. I walked away with very little and everything I did get, I negotiated myself! This law firm is a joke!
