My son was assigned 2 court appointed lawyers/public defenders. The 1st lawyer Ms. Andrea was very sweet, honest, and always called us back because my son gave us permission to be informed about his case. We were sadly informed by Ms. Andrea that my son would be assigned a new attorney and he was terrible. Joshua Engle was assigned to my son. I called Mr. Engle SEVERAL times and he never ever returned my call for almost 5 months. In the meantime I started looking for another attorney because I had a feeling this man really could care less about my son. He showed it, by never calling us back and saying things to my son but he doesn't think that I know what he was telling my son but I know everything. Today I was told to call him, of course I left a message but this time he called me back but he was very rude, raised his voice, he was talking over me trying to tell me what to tell my son's new lawyer to file instead of just telling the lawyer himself. I thought that was very unprofessional, I am not a lawyer, I thought lawyers communicate with eachother and share information about the client amongst eachother but not Engle. After he started raising his voice and talking over me I hung up. CLICK. I am a lady first of all and he was very disrespectful. I called the courts and told them, they were even confused as to why Engle would not share this with the new lawyer. Im already upset at my son for getting in trouble but ohh, this phone call with Engle had me so mad I had to go pray. I don't want him representing my son even if he was the last lawyer on the face of the earth. You'll have some lawyers who care, and some who don't. Mr Engle showed us he really didn't care about my son and that's fine the new lawyer has 5 stars and im glad I hired him. If you want a lawyer that cares, who will respect you and your family Engle's isn't that person. Maybe because my son is African American we were treated this way. I don't know but I sure don't want him representing my son. He NEVER even called us back anyway. His communication is terrible, and he is very rude.

Attorney Jim Harden lied to me multiple times. Said he would have a wresting coach at my trial to defend my case as self defense and ended up grabbing a cop from the same court house as my trial and Judge is being held. I think that’s a bit suspicious. He lied through his teeth from the moment he met me until the moment the trial was over. Offered me a price for the trial and then the day before told me that was the price for each day. The day before trial literally leaving me with no choice. This company is a scam and they work with the prosecutors bc he used to be a prosecutor himself. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! Especially “attorney” Jim Harden. He even saw me at the court house after my trial and told me he had talked the opposition after the case telling them that I would have apologized but it wasn’t the right time at court because we were trying to win. Literally proving that he never believed I was innocent from the start and took my money anyways 🙃 welcome to the law

This is the Ohio Democratic Party’s law firm. When I talked to one of their attorneys they were nice to me, when I mentioned the Ohio Dems their whole demeanor changed and they were evasive and eager to get me off the phone. This firm is only for democrats..This firm will not take your case if it involves democrats. This is a woke law firm, avoid if you’re not woke!
