Back in 2020 Elaina M Monte was the lawyer for my dad for his divorce and was so unprofessional, rude, and always had an attitude. My dad is a very soft spoken person and she ran all over him and even got him in trouble by being late to virtual court meetings and not communicating court times and processes to him. She also did not fight almost at all for my dad and he ended up losing over 40,000 dollars in the settlement. Did she care? No. All she cared about was her pay check. I wouldn’t touch Elaina Monte with a ten foot pole if you’re looking for a lawyer. Steer very clear unless you want to lose money, have an unprofessional, greedy, uncommunicative not on time lawyer.

I usually don’t leave reviews, but this experience deserves to be shared. This attorney was handling my mother’s divorce during an incredibly difficult time in her life. My mom asked me to help her communicate with the lawyer because she was overwhelmed and struggling emotionally throughout the separation.

From the beginning, the process was far more drawn out and stressful than it needed to be. Simple steps were mishandled, documents were sent to the wrong address, and communication was poor. When I respectfully called out the attorney for not following through on what my mother had asked or for being unprofessional, she refused to communicate with me going forward — despite the fact that I was only trying to advocate for my mother, who clearly needed the support.

To make matters worse, it’s hard to ignore that the flood of glowing reviews don’t match the reality. Based on our experience, many of them seem suspiciously fake or paid for. This was by far the worst legal experience we’ve encountered. I would strongly urge anyone looking for honest, competent legal representation to look elsewhere.
