I reached out to this office back in November of 2022 for a consultation for representation on a business purchase. I paid $250 for a consultation with Jeremy Eglin. Due to the turnaround time needed for the purchase, Jeremy was charging a high fee to “rush” his services, so I hired my family law attorney to help with this matter. A couple of months ago, I received an invoice from their office for $75 for Jeremy responding to an email from an attorney on my behalf and for a voicemail he left me. Jeremy was never hired by me. As an attorney, he should be aware that he can’t charge me and shouldn’t do any work on behalf of me if he hadn’t been hired as my attorney. When I received this invoice, I called his office and spoke with the secretary. After explaining the situation, she shared that they no longer charge for consultations, so she would void out this invoice. Since that conversation, I’ve received the invoice three more times. The second to last, I emailed Jeremy explaining that situation and requesting for a solution. After receiving this invoice today, I called again to the office. I spoke to the same lady, to which she stated it was an automated system and it would continue to send out until it was cleared out. I told her I wanted in writing that this invoice was null and void but she stated she would not. She claimed she couldn’t hear me talking but would talk over me the entire conversation. When I expressed that I wanted this resolved to ensure that my credit would not be impacted, she laughed as if this whole situation was a joke. I can’t speak for Jeremy’s abilities as an attorney but I can say their office seems to be functioning improperly and I would not choose their services over another attorney for their lack of professionalism, for being billed for services that they were not contracted to do, and for the unpleasant secretary that answers the phone.
