I reached out to Katherine’s firm in early April regarding a sensitive personal matter and met with her in person on April 6. During that meeting, I shared a lot of difficult and private information, completed paperwork with the firm, and left believing my case was being seriously considered and that I’d probably hear back within about a week. Because of that, I stopped returning calls from other attorneys while waiting for an answer.

After that meeting, more than two weeks went by without much clarity. I had to follow up multiple times just to figure out whether the firm planned to move forward. What bothered me wasn’t ultimately being told no. I understand attorneys can’t take every case. It was the amount of uncertainty and lack of direct communication after I had opened up about something so personal.

During our final phone call, when I expressed frustration that weeks had passed without a clear answer despite earlier assurances, Katherine told me she was “not my therapist.” Given the context and the nature of what had been discussed throughout the process, the comment came across as dismissive.

I’m sure the firm may be a fit for some people, but my experience involved a lot of ambiguity and delayed communication during an already difficult situation.

Called to seek advice and the attorney would not even allow me to tell him what the issue I was having. He talked over me and then when I started to speak he would cut me off and not allow me to finish my sentence. He then proceeded to hang up the phone on me. What a pathetic firm. Would highly suggest taking money elsewhere. He clearly is better then the rest of us. Would not even give 1 star but forced to. Customer service and respect goes a long way

I'll give the place 2 stars because with some persistents on my end, I did at least talk to someone.
Sadly the attorney I talked to couldn't have been less interested in anything I had to say.
The impression from the very beginning was that this firm is too busy to address what they apparently perceive as a cry baby, disrespectful homeowner, refusing to accept any accountability for the alleged violations being imposed.
I was advised to continue to pay fines as the HOA sends them out.
No credible proof of a violation occuring is needed, if they say I did wrong, then obviously I did. Why am I even questioning it? Didn't I understand that the legal fee will be more than the fine ?

Of course, just pay because they said! That sounds like a great solution! Wow, I can't believe that fair & reasonable option never occurred to me.
Not to mention as long as the fine is less that an attorney, then I'm getting a great deal !
Clearly I am an irrational person asking for something more than hear say prior to breaking out the checkbook.

Bottom line; this firm likely prefers working FOR HOA's against the homeowners, & NOT interested in working for a homeowner disputing the HOA.
If this is you, don't waste your time with this place.

Apologies as I can not rate higher than a one. I can't. I went through their web site to try to schedule something and talk with them - no response. I called them and my call was directed to attorney Nick Henry where my call went to his voice mail. I left a voice mail and got no call back. I called again and was told that he would get to my phone call when available. Well - that was four days ago.
