I worked with Roy Doppelt during the most difficult stretch of a complex family law matter, and I would recommend him without hesitation. Three things stood out. First, he is genuinely responsive — when I needed a document from my file on short notice, he had it routed to his team within hours and copied me so I knew exactly where it stood. Second, he negotiates well. He secured agreements with opposing counsel on several contested procedural issues that saved me months of unnecessary motion practice, and when opposing counsel offered an extension, he accepted it specifically because it gave me more time rather than because it suited the firm's calendar. Third, and this is what I'd most want another client to know: when I asked him to pause work to limit my fees, he did it immediately and without argument. He told me plainly that he was standing down so I would not incur further charges. In my experience that is rare, and it told me he was looking after my interests rather than the billing. His team — particularly on filings and pleadings — is organized and professional. Roy himself is warm and steady, which matters more than people expect when you are in the middle of something stressful. Thank you, Roy.
