My experience with Robert Butler and this firm was beyond horrific. Not only did this attorney overcharge me to the tune of $23,000, but he also lied to me throughout the process and demonstrated complete incompetence by losing crucial personal belongings that served as evidence in my case. To make matters worse, he attempted to cross personal boundaries by trying to pursue my girlfriend at the time— Who was also a client that he offered to represent for free so she didn't file against him(a blatant violation of professionalism and ethics). Robert Butler offered to reimburse me 5000.00 and never honored that arrangement. So I filed a grievance.
When I filed a grievance with the Ohio Bar, armed with evidence to support my allegations, they chose to ignore the gravity of the situation. Adding insult to injury, this attorney used his connections, including his new wife, to manipulate the process and have my grievance thrown out. This was an appalling abuse of power and demonstrated a lack of accountability within the system.
This experience was a $23,000 lesson learned the hard way. If you value integrity, professionalism, and trustworthiness in an attorney, stay far away from Robert Butler and this law firm.
Also, i mentioned this law firm because they facilitated in his horrendous behavior and were complicit through the entire ordeal regarding pay and my personal belongings that were lost.
This is the first you have responded because I listed the truth on a review for your other potential clients to see. if Rob is no longer there, why does he show on the pics and everything online. You could care less about the pain and suffering I endured from YOUR ATTY. and was employed by you through this whole thing. That's why you were controlling on what he could charge or write off. Thanks for your timely reply trying to save face. I gave your firm 3 clients and you railed them all until YOUR FIRM was fired. You and the other partners spent my money.. So you (the frim) are guilty as well. Guilty by association.
