DO NOT HIRE. Working with Elizabeth was the most frustrating experience I’ve ever had with working with somebody I’ve hired. From the very beginning things were bad, and we should’ve left to somewhere else at the first sign of trouble. The TL;DR is that she: doesn’t respond to emails with any urgency at all despite her auto-respond saying she’ll respond in 1-2 business days, she said several times that docs were sent out via Docusign in response to our emails but we have no evidence of any of that (in fact, when they were finally sent out metadata showed they’d just been created 10 minutes before), and she frequently tried to avoid handling everything we paid for which was filling out and filing ALL necessary documents. We ended up giving up on getting any response from her and filing through the Family Law Facilitators. I recommend you do the same or hire literally ANY OTHER LAWYER. The only thing she did was file the initial petition, 4 months after our initial meeting.
As of today our divorce is finalized (11.5 months after our initial meeting with Elizabeth), which is why I waited to write this review. Working with Elizabeth was more frustrating than working with my ex during this time. DO NOT HIRE HER to handle anything related to your divorce. You’ll regret it.
She previously claimed she doesn't threaten legal action, but she sent me a bill with a threat to sue if I didn't pay. I paid the extra invoice just to move forward, yet she still did not fulfill our contract after nearly a year, leaving forms unfiled. She’s continuously trying to recover from my bad review by making me out to be the one in the wrong, while at the same time having her husband send me a PLEADING text message to remove this because it’s hurting her business. We followed ALL instructions (there weren’t very many…), and referred to the checklist/timeline PDF every time we sent an email for an update, so take that for what you will. Divorce was hard, but working with her was harder; something my ex and I have numerous texts agreeing on. Everything stated above is accurate or my opinion. It’s embarrassing for a lawyer to be this huffy over a bad review brought on due to her negligence.
Your repeated statements regarding neutrality and lack of legal representation are irrelevant. At no point did we believe you represented us in court.
When we retained your services in March 2024, you stated your flat-fee service ($2,599 plus a $314 court fee) included two mediation sessions, a separation agreement, preparation of court forms, and filing with the court. We paid in full based on those representations.
You provided documents containing multiple errors and collected the court filing fee, but the documents were never filed and the fee was not returned. Any changes to your current services do not alter our experience or the accuracy of my review.
Please stop responding to my review and cease all further contact.
April 2025 UPDATE #2 Revised: Jeff, I have posted reviews on both here and on Yelp to share my experience, which I stand by. Everything I’ve shared is a true reflection of the challenges I faced working with your company. I believe it's important for potential clients to hear from those who have had similar experiences.
Regarding any court case, I want to clarify that we have never been to court. Your court case was between you and another former client. There has been no legal review of my statements, and no judge has made any determination. My feedback is based on the service I received, and I believe it's important to share that with others.
I’ve asked repeatedly for no further contact, but I continue to receive emails, and updates to my reviews are being made with inaccurate information. I would like to kindly request that you respect my wishes and refrain from any further communication. I stand by my reviews and believe it’s important that others are fully informed before making a decision about your services."
